Why do you guys hate him so much. He gets more hate than Mike Vick or real criminals. I've never seen him punch a guy, he always makes time for the fans and oh he's probably the second best basketball player of all time. Are we just conditioned to dislike the top dog?

I saw him smack a puppy one time. That's why.

I want him to win another championship shut the haters up. He's been amazing for the NBA.

Newsflash.
Every media outlet anointed him to be the greatest basketball player that ever lived while he was still in middle school.
That puts every fan that loves MJ, Magic, Bird, Kareem, Wilt, Jerry West, etc on the defensive. We sit with our arms crossed saying "prove it".
He has failed to do it so far.
Successful career but not the GOAT.

He's not the greatest but he definitely doesn't deserve the hate he gets.

Breaking news update:
You could make an argument that he is goat. He has been famous since he was 14 and look at the way he is handled that fame and carried himself. Not a controversy. Never an arrest. They have been so many athletes who have crashed and burned.

It's the time we live in. Everybody is an expert and critic. The media no longer controls the narrative. When they do talk, it's 24 hour network endless banter. I'm convinced if MJ played in today's era, he would be the most despised athlete on the planet.

That may be justified. Jordan benefitted from no one having any real access to him.

While I would still put him second to Jordan, what are the career comparisons of Jordan and James through age 31?

I'm actually pulling for him once in my life and he's choking

There's no secret about the debate and supposed hate and the reasons for it, just listen to Skip Bayless or any older sporstwriter.
It's all generational arguing and has little to do with LeBron. He's the best player but older generation likes dues paid.
Was anointed out of high school, he expected love and success without ever winning anything, was pretty damn soft for the first 5 years (while Magic and Bird won right away - on teams coming off horrible seasons), totally coddled and babied by the Cavs organization (which is why they felt so betrayed by the Decision) felt entitled...reflection of the generation.
These arguments are always stupid and LeBron takes the brunt of criticism aimed generally at his generation.
To sum up generation war...
These arguments are always older generation X - "you had to earn respect on the playground in Dodgeball" vs. entitled and coddled generation Y - "you have to give me a gold star playing Duck Duck Goose because Momma said I was special and she'd sue."

Career comparisons? It's Jordan by a mile. LeBron has more of almost everything, but has played significantly more games than Jordan did by age 31.
There's a graphic comparing the two. I'll look for it.

At 31 before the final three-peat, no one would have considered Jordan the GOAT. The odds Lebron has his success past 31 is close to zero though.
