re: Lebron James MVP

What prompted the MVP thread was that it's the end of the season and seeing that stat line just reminded me how utterly commonplace a night that is for him and it would be a career night for 70% of the league and it'd be the best night of the season for another 25%

MVP hasn't been most valuable in a long time. Is Parker the most valuable? Who knows, but he should come nowhere near the award in today's MVP landscape.

It's a much more interesting discussion who the MVP on the Lakers is than who the MVP on the heat is.

Well it's a regular season award, so your extremely poor attempt at a joke is irrelevant

So why did Rose?

Because he won it two times in a row and they felt like it would be only fair to give it someone else at least once?

No one is arguing with you that the NBA is run poorly. I think thats a unanimous decision around here that stoned monkeys could do a similar job.

Bc people we're still mad at him for the decision. Now that it's been almost two years most rational people are starting to get over it. Plus the fact that Chicago has been as good without Rose this year as they have been with him makes alot of voters realize trying to find someone other than Lebron to give the MVP to just bc they don't like him is stupid.

Also, last year was before Lebron choked in the finals so now i'm not sure what's worse, your logic or sense of humor.

I do think Kobe is better than Bynum. I also think Lebron is without question better than Wade. I was just saying that bc the Lakers record without Bryant is surprisingly good, although obviously he'll have to be their best player if they want any shot at winning a title

Good job by the Mavs. Also since Wade is much worse off ball player and isn't a huge 3 pt threat they just sagged in the lane to defend Lebron.

Since Lebron can play off ball he ended up not having the ball as much and ended up being the guy having to shoots 3s since he actually is a decent to good shooter from the beyond the arc.

Wade is a poor fit for this team and the record seems to point to that also. If anything I think it will continue to be a problem in the playoffs.

I tried arguing to a lot of people that the Mavs defense worked perfectly for the Miami offense. Miami ran an iso offense that worked in favor of the Mavs wiser defenders. They would force the Heat to shoot jumpshots and prevent them from getting easy baskets and it worked. They didn't believe in Wade's or Lebron's outside shot, but at the same time, I truly think the Mavs were in his head by the 3rd or 4th game. They would leave him wide open on 3 point attempts when they could've gotten to him in time. They just did not respect him or his shot by that time in the series. Credit to Coach Carlisle.
