All i'm saying is in order to win a championship, somebody has to step up and be better than expected. That was Kyrie, as crazy as that may sound considering Lebron's stats.

and yes his rebounds are useless stat. How hard is it for the biggest most athletic person on the court pretty much at all times to get 10+ boards when he plays the entire game? Literally the only person bigger than Lebron that played, on both teams, was Ezeli and Bogut, neither of which played much. It is expected for him to grab a lot of rebounds. Besides it being easy for him since he's the biggest most athletic person on the court, and it's the Finals, it a easy was to kickstart a fast break for them, so even more incentive.

The frick are you talking about? Kyrie had the 3, but LeBron got the three to put it at 89

That was with 5 minutes left.
After that he took 4 shots before Kyrie's 3, missing all four, getting blocked by Iggy at the rim on one of them.

got the FTs to make it 86 last night.

FT, not FTs. and he let Draymond block him on a dunk yet again, which just seems impossible.

This is like the people who say that Ray Allen won 2013 Finals for the Heat even though Lebron scored or assisted on all but 2 or 3 of Miami's points in the 4th and OT.

I came out of this series thinking Kyrie is a superstar and is a great offensive player.

If you didn't know this before, you don't watch much basketball.

I don't think anyone thought he was that good. Of course i thought he was really good. What he did these last 3 games on the offensive side of the court was a thing of beauty and a joy to watch. I have never seen someone finish at the rim like he did. There was literally nothing GSW could do to stop him from getting his shot off from anywhere on the court, and he was making them at a very high rate.

but Lebron is one of the best to ever play the sport and he was at his absolute best.

Never said he wasn't. Just saying we expect that from him, which isn't fair.

You can't be serious.

You just can't be.

He wasn't nearly as efficient last year. His fg % was like in the 30s

He did foul him, and he only got 1 point out of it.

In highsight, he should have gone up with two hands and he probably throws it down in his face through the foul, which would have been awesome.

Iggy got a block on him at the rim a few plays before that. And Draymond blocked him earlier in the series on a dunk attempt.

And that makes Kyrie better than James in this series?

Not even Kyrie would agree with your arguments in this thread.

All the points, rebounds, blocks, assists don't change the fact that he's a self-absorbed primadonna pussy.

Similar to hey look at me JJ Watt, and Cam Newton. He'll always be a crybaby candyass and nothing will change that fanboys.

This performance undoubtably changes his legacy though, hard to argue him outside of the top 5 now.

There was never an argument for him being in the top 5

The only valid argument is if he is the greatest of all time and has done enough to eclipse Jordan.

No. What the hell are you talking about?

All some of you do is look at stats and say Lebron is the MVP, and you back it up with nothing but stats. Lebron is the PG. I expect him to get close to 10 assists. Lebron is the biggest person on the court. I expect him to get 10+ rebounds. Lebron is the most physically gifted athlete to ever live. I expect him to score 30+. Those are very lofty expectations, but we expect it from him, and as i've said many times, we often look at his performances and don't think anything of the gaudy stats he puts up b/c we expect him to.

The only point i'm trying to make is Lebron was not the offensive go to guy in this series, and he was not the guy putting daggers into the heart of every GSW fan like Kyrie did. The offensive show Kyrie put on was amazing, and he is the one that hit the clutch shots, not Lebron.

Game 5 Lebron was awesome, and unstoppable. If he played and shot like that all the time the NBA would be boring b/c they would never lose. But even that game Kyrie overshadowed him with how great he was.

I still have no problem with Lebron being the MVP, and he deserved it, but it's not hard to see Kyrie was just as much a MVP, and if this was their second title in Cleveland, i bet you he wins it.
