Gutted for Tony Martin would have had the lead if not for that problem

Yeah that really sucks. Dude was absolutely crushing
I'm always amazed by how incredibly shitty the Schleck's are at TTing.

I'm watching on DVR, and I am about 15 minutes behind live.
I'll update the thread after I finish. Gonna have to check out from the thread until then.

He's a sprinter. Won't win the tour. Badass though.

Cavendish dropped like 15 lbs. in hopes of getting in shape for the Olympics. I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped out towards the end of the race.

The thing i dont get about Cavs move to Sky is that they have flat out said its all about the yellow jersey for them, I know that they will have given him a bumper pay rise but why not go to a team more dedicated to the sprints, and drop out of the tour once it gets to the mountains?
Would surely be 2 birds with 1 stone no? I mean he's hardly gonna be helping drag Wiggins up the mountains

Cav wants Green Jerseys so he can't just drop out the tour, unless he is gearing towards the olympics. Is it a sprinters course?

He's said he's not trying to win green this year. The olympics are his #1 priority.
It's not a pure sprinters course, but he should still have a good shot

This year is between Sanchez, Evans, and The Italian on LiquiGas, forgot his name. I think the guy who won all the stages in Cali wins green. Horner and TeeJay can podium. Heyjadal will fade in end.

The first six stages are going to be a snoozer and most of them will have the following script: early echappee (s) ---> teams of srpinters working the peloton to catch up with them ----> they catch up with them in the last few kms and then we get a sprint at the end.
I'll probably start watching from stage 10. 10-12 should separate the contenders from the field and 16-17 should determine the winner.
Wiggins Vs Evans should be fun to watch, will be interesting to see how Frank does without his brother. Also watch out for Menchov and Voeckler

If you are a team and you have the money you need a sprinter and a climber or two

Jeez, after stage 3, Levi Leipheimer is already 45 seconds out of the lead (50th place). I think he is pretty much out of contention, unless he pulls off a successful breakaway and picks up a minute or two (extremely unlikely)

Did Cavendish win the sprint? I think that it's Liquigas tour to win but Sky will be in contention with Wiggins and Cavendish.

Cycling is only cool when they're all juicing.
