So that reporters can ask more questions

Most of us felt that Stephen Curry bringing his adorable 2-year-old daughter to the podium with him after Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday was one of the highlights of the postseason. A select few were bothered by it.

Both ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Star-News Online’s ACC insider Brett Friedlander want athletes to be barred from bringing their children to postgame press conferences.

I don't really agree that they should be banned, but I can see why they don't want kids there. Doing the press conference is the main part of the reporter's job and still part of the athlete's job. The reporters just want a professional atmosphere.

First they need to start asking better questions.

But in all seriousness as long as the player is answering questions (which Curry was) I don't see the issue. I could understand if they were ignoring reporters but I've yet to see a player with their kid at the table do that.

Wtf? He's a weird SOB, but kinda plays the, "I'm a really nice and likable guy so athletes share things with me" card pretty well. Why would he care if kids were at PC's? Is he really just a douche bag freak?

Sports reporters need to get over themselves.

I didn't realize Brian had enough time away from sniffing LeBron's jock to ask a question

no his job is on the court/field

the leaugues started putting it in union agreements that they had to do interviews

has this ever been challenged in court? Has Steve Carlton commented? Oh I forget he doesn't comment.

That might require a much bigger table for some athletes.

Those press conferences are awful. People are more likely to read your story with quotes from a freaking adorable 2 year old interrupting her MVP father than "bof teams play hard"
