Fick wasn't considered an option at the time.

No rumors that he had even been contacted.

And nowhere do I imply I am not very happy with Fick being in Madison.

He's not going anywhere and has told me this is his last coaching gig. Also, there is a KU booster named Lawson who will make sure money will not be an issue when it comes to retaining LL. Look for a sizeable extension after the season.
