It's not as easy as "hey, let's play next Wednesday."

There are financial concerns, travel concerns, academic concerns, etc. These are both state entities charged with the safeguarding of student athletes. Certain formalities have to be met with their contracts.

Of all the pussy shite in this thread, this is by far the biggest set of flapping lips.

It’s more than acceptable to reschedule and finish 2.5 innings of a baseball game a week out. Especially when the schools are only about 4 hours apart by bus, AND THE TRAVELING TEAM IS MAKING THE OFFER. We’ve seen bigger and more difficult reschedulings in a shorter timeframe.

Yes I know that about lightning.

Lightening, as the poster put it, is not dangerous.

I know, spelling nazi and all but that and being “apart” of something are some that really make me “loose” my mind.

Not saying there was an incentive, it's just hilarious to act like rescheduling is such a hard thing to do.

I don’t know how hard it is.

But I know I don’t even want to reschedule a rained out game for my middle school team because f that we play enough games.

Supposively this is a sign of repressed homo tendencies.

Valid question.

And I don't have a horse in this race. I say give both of them an L and move on.

Ole Miss not tarping the field is an especially bitch move.

Lane Burroughs is on Ruston radio now and just said you won’t see Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss playing again. (As long as he’s head coach)

I asked for a link for this, because you completely made it up.
You misconstrued what I said because you are butthurt that your school and coach are being drug through the mud for gamesmanship for the fourth or fifth time in the last several years. You have no intention to engage in any debate.

I am not sharing screenshots from someone I personally know who is working their way up in a competitive industry to appease some Southern Marsh Frat Boy . I know for a fact he browses here and the rant on occasion and I'm not gonna jeopardize that for some random Ole Miss fan that wouldn't be convinced if there was video of Bianco saying it.

Bianco is a good coach, he is just a good coach that has spent most the past few years in the hot seat. He's not going to cheat, but just like the covid game, the rpi cancellation, and this he's going to do what his best for him and his job. I don't have a dog in this fight other than my opinion. If roles were reversed and I heard the same regarding LTU's coach I'd say the same of him (though from what I hear going to consecutive regionals has pretty much given him a lifetime contract there when it comes to hot seats). If it makes you feel any better my Alma Mater isn't competitive in any sport atm even in one of the worst conferences in America.

As long as they can get other high RPI teams to full that midweek void, then it shouldn't be a problem, but that feels like a bit of an overreaction.

He’s tight with Van Horn. I think you’ll see Arkansas yearly on the schedule. Relationships have also been built with Auburn and Tennessee.

Plus we’ll probably start looking west at teams like TCU, Okie State, A&M and such.

It's almost like he was pissed off hours before the game started because he felt he had been lied to.

What's the story on why Tech/LSU baseball ended this year? LSU didn't want and home/home series or what? LSU is playing about every La. school this year, but not Tech.

Soooo if you move the game to noon, what times does BP start?

Depends on how badly you're trying to get the game in.

BP doesn't have to happen.

You don’t need BP before a game if there’s a time crunch. It’s a luxury, not a necessity.

I'd rather LSU play Tech (or whoever the good in-state team is) every year, but LSU has long done this where they rotate in-state schools in and off the schedule each year.

For the longest time Tulane was the only permanent Louisiana opponent, but Mainieri relegated them to the rest of the pack like 4 or 5 years ago.

Meh. People will be mad for a few days then forget about it. The only thing anyone will look at at the end of the year is wins and losses. La Tech bitches about SEC schools not scheduling them. Well one of the only ones that would will probably stop now since their head coach is acting like a petulant child

That’s two times in the last three years Tech beat Ole Miss in game one of a two game series and then Bianco pulled some shenanigans to dodge them in game 2. Never seen a team have a Covid outbreak only last two days.

2nd time in 3 years that Ole Miss has ducked out of the 2nd game in a series after a loss to them. Both times were shady as frick too.

The only person who looks like a child here is Bianco. He’s losing to a team he shouldn’t and taking his ball and going home.
