I'll be the shooting coach: "Alright, guys...try to make more shots than you're currently making. Once you're making more shots, continue to make them."

Boom.

Doesn’t really matter when you can still bring in superstars and have other come in to team up.

I wondered where that argument was when everyone was healthy.

They've only gotten one superstar to sign with them over the last 2 decades.....

Maybe you could argue old arse steve nash (was that a trade?)

To be fair, the Lakers only had cap space for a max player like 3 times in the last two decades. They were always in the tax during Kobe’s prime. Kupchak and Buss had space in 2016, missed on Durant and spent all their space on Mozgod and Deng lol

And it will go away when everyone is healthy. Doesnt mean it's not true though

We have a great scouting department that has made some really solid late draft picks. Idk about anything else

90% of sports teams are run like mom and pop restaurants.

Some are just run like very successful mom and pop restaurants.

So a few things:

1. Anthony Irwin is not a Lakers beat writer. He’s a blogger and has generally been negative in regards to the Lakers for years.

2. The lack of a shooting coach and assistant coaching staff were all Luke Walton hires/decisions. He doesn’t have the full support of Magic and Pelinka, and his coaching staff was the source of the contentious meeting between Luke and Magic early this season. It would have appeared erratic to fire him or any staff members before this season, and wouldn’t be productive to do so mid-season. Expect changes to come after this season.

3. To have a meltdown with the best player in the world injured, your second leading scorer now injured, your starting center injured for a portion of this time, and your back up point guard injured is foolish. This team was built to support lebron, struggles without him are to be expected.

So long story short; TLDR: Everyone Relax

interesting you say this, bc Bron had a coach fired once before in midseason when they were doing pretty good, certainly better than this Lakers team is.

There's a lot of small business owners and mom and pop's that work their arse off to make a living. They need to come up with another analogy.

Doesnt mean hes wrong in his assessment.

Then why did they go with him in to the season? Shows they dont really have a plan.

Most of their team was drafted without Lebron in mind and the newest guys are almost all on 1 year deals. Some deep planning going on in LA.

Not to mention you just said the Lakers really dont even want Luke Walton as a coach anymore...
