It's for the best. He's turning into Mark Reynolds, homerun or strike out.

Saw on twitter that he had a 116 WRC+ for June.

I thought this kid was going to be a monster for the next decade..... still might be but man it's tough seeing his struggles. He has potential still but idk if he's gonna be a perennial all star like I initially thought. His trade value was through the roof this offseason we could've gotten a haul and kept our other hitting prospects

He needs to get out of the Outfield.

Put him at 1b/DH(at AAA),he's not an OF, so let him clear his head and just worry about hitting.

didn't realize he was up to 12 homers, but sheesh .170? Grichuk was at .222 and we sent him down because that was beyond pathetic

homerun or strike out
which really isnt that bad. you just cant strike out 30% of the time unless you consistently get great contact on the ball like judge or bellinger

Definitely needed. It's gotten between his ears at this point. He just needs a restart.

He's fine in the outfield. No DH and he'll never play 1st with Rizzo there. He's made a few diving catches and whatnot but he's no gold-glover. He isn't Adam Dunn bad though.

That just points out how stupid fan voting is. Thankfully the all star game doesn't matter anymore.

He pretty much missed a year of baseball as a 23/24 year old. That's a lot.

He'll be fine in the long run

They need to trade him to the AL so he can fulfill his destiny as a DH.

Yeah, if he bumped that average up 130 percentage points.

Reynolds has hit under .260 for 9 of his 11 career years, and not just under .260, but an average of .230. Other than this year, he's been the standard for boom or bust hitting.

Hey, that's in the past. Reynolds is a new man.

He's definitely playing better but Coors field has to come into play somewhat for that bump. Still, Schwarber should not aspire to be like him

So my Reynolds comparison is going to derail this thread? Reynolds literally has more strikeouts than hits in every year of his career except this one. OBP has also been below league average in most. Schwarber will be better than him eventually because it's a low bar to reach.
