Lakers are 5-24, paying a sure bet HOFer and all-time great $25 million this season, but for what? The opportunity to glorify a legend, doctoring his well chronicled "37 year old body" with massage therapy and other treatments, all in the name of giving minutes to a player who should've retired 2 years ago.

On his best night, Kobe is now mediocre and brings nothing to the table as far as improving this team. His presence and playing time assure the Lakers place in the cellar of their division.

It's unfair to his teammates, the organization, the city of L.A., and frankly the entire NBA and fans everywhere.

Enough already.

Merry Christmas!!!

When they win the lottery and take Simmons no one will remember how bad this last year was.

Hate on.

This. Kobe has made more for the lakers than they'll ever be able to pay him.

The Lakers get to let their decade legend lead his team to a top 3 pick.

Works for both parties

All that bitching and nothing you said points to Kobe being selfish.

Lakers are getting a good ROI on ticket sales, concessions and apparel, and the NBA is getting viewers to watch a crap team. All because of Kobe.

It's a selfish dickmove by a player on a salary capped team, but Buss Jr is a retard so why shouldn't Kobe bend him over and get paid?

Other than kind of hurting Russell's growth, the Lakers should be fine with him throwing up all of these shots. It'll get them another high draft pick and a shot at Ben Simmons.

If I'm LA I'd rather his minutes and shots go to younger guys to see what we've got.

But that's just me.
