They really should have traded him to the Suns last year. They could have at least gotten something but they demanded more than made sense and refuse to admit they are rebuilding when they are in more dire of rebuilding than pretty near any other team in teh NBA.

Plus minus on this one. Kobe absolutely sabotaged that negotiation but Howard might have left anyway. Kobe wants talented people on his team but he still wants them to defer to him and that's pretty tough to make work when it comes to aging superstars. Because of the Kobe factor Carmello and Lebron weren't going to LA even with all the advantages that normally come with Los Angeles
