Kobe's ranks so far this season: 3rd in points per game, 126th in FG% (out of 131 ranked) and 403rd in plus-minus (out of 404 ranked).

Ouch.

Good for him. I hope the ball hogging fraud never wins another game for the rest of his life.

He is absolutely killing his team. They would win more games without him. I truly believe that. Now that wouldn't win a bunch more, but they'd win a few.

But he has 5 rings!!!1!!1

Killer instinct and would make the game winning shot that Lebron and others wouldn't (ignore the actual statistics of these situations, he just would!!!)

The Lakers are giving him what he wants, pure unadulterated control over the offense.

Nobody wants to play with him because he's an a-hole, so it'll burn until he leaves, collecting high draft picks in the process.

Word is that they refuse to tank. They are going to use future draft picks to trade for players this year. Would be a horrible thing to do, but frick the Lakers.

I'm fully convinced the younger Buss, after he found out no star power wants to play with Kobe, crafted this team so Kobe would shoot a billion times a game. Kobe will be the painfully obvious reason this team is losing, and thus the end of the Kobe era won't be seen as his fault, just an aging superstar that no longer has it.

He's also taking the most difficult shot selection to boot. But a lot of that doesn't fall on his shoulders. I'm assuming you haven't seen many, if any, of the games thus far. All of the offense involves Kobe having to beat his man without any help. No open shots. Another shot creator or shooter would help this, but there isn't a single healthy soul around. When nick young returns it should open up the floor more for his numbers to be more "efficient." But that being said, there is a lack of talent around him. That may be due to his enormous contract, but let's not forget Michael Jordan was making around the same amount 17 years ago(inflation not considered), and had a HUGE luxury with the people he had around him. Kupchak has been known to make some huge splashes, but he's missed on every single one the past few years. Box score fans are quite funny though. "Fraud?" Yea, he faked the 5 rings and the 81 points and the whole list of accomplishments. Go hang on lebrons nuts some more. I guarantee you he couldn't average what Kobe's getting at his age with what he has around him.

Kobe has great talent, and he is an unbelievably hard worker, but big men won him those rings.

One does not insult someone by mocking that person's 5 rings. One insults oneself.
