Royce Young ?@royceyoung 2m2 minutes ago
Thunder announce Kevin Durant will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 regular season.

Royce Young ?@royceyoung now
Durant's initial fracture was showing signs of "regression" and will undergo a bone graft procedure. Will return to basketball in 4-6 months

That's awful. I don't have a good feeling about this in the long term.

I don't think they could have handled this situation any worse

Has an NBA player ever made a healthy return after missing most of a season wit a foot injury? I really don't think this looks good at all. Kevin Durant is 6'9" with shoes off. The guy is freaking tall. That's hard on feet.

This could be really bad for KD long term.

7 footers and feet problems blah blah blah. Not good, no clue why they rushed him back.

In all seriousness, watching Bestbrook vs. Golden State would be ridiculously entertaining and must-see TV.

He's going to average:

All the points
All the assists
All the rebounds
All the turnovers
All the FG attempts

All of em.

Coming back so early had to have lead to the latest setback

If I was in KD's position, I would absolutely blame the Thunder. I'd be surprised if he stays there.

I'm just pissed that they tried bringing him back too early like 3 different times this season to chase a damn 8 seed. The guy is 25, his long term health should have been 1000x more important.

Really terrible decision making by OKC to bring him back before he was ready. Sucks as a basketball fan to watch someone as talented as KD miss a year in his prime.

Apologies. I meant to say with a foot injury. Those are just scary.

Was going to say...

MJ made a pretty crazy comeback from a scary foot injury.

Yes. MJ did. But I think Durant's height could be the story. The guy is a freak of nature.

I know it's somewhat of a reach here, but we blame someone when a guy comes back too fast...and we also blame DRose when he makes the decision for himself to come back when he feels he's 100% ready.

We just always like to blame people when sometimes shite happens. Though I'll admit, that's a shitty argument since I blame DRose and OKC for both as well, but I take some responsibility in that as well
