Basically you don't want 1&2 or 19&20. Many trainers like positions 9-16 because: - don't get pinned on the rail - auxiliary gate starts at 15 so there is a little extra space With only speed horse in the 20th spot Danzing Candy will burn out by the 6th furlong. If pace is slow there could be 8 to 10 horses in it with a furlong to go. Could be an epic finish.

A pretty good call.

Tough to predict before the post draw. If I had to bet prior to post positions: I really like Nyquist and Exaggerator. Mo Tom & Brodys Cause are the longer shots I like.

Bet & hit the exacta

Y'all just see beholder start her year? So nice to see some good ones (she and California chrome) not hustled off to the breeding shed.

He hasn't been beaten yet and has danced every dance. Absolutely destroyed Moyhamen in the FL Derby and ran a brilliant race in the KY Derby. Songbird is a nice filly but honestly, has she beaten anyone since the BC juvy filly? Zenyatta thinks she hasn't beaten anyone. That's the most idiotic thread I've read about racing on this board. All the naysayers said that Nyquist couldn't go a 1 1/4 because of the Uncle Mo pedigree, including myself but he did the job. He could possibly go wire to wire in the Preakness if Drug O'Neill instructs Mario to do that. You might see a Shackleford type of performance. So your saying "He didn't belong in the Derby" yet beat 19 others Saturday? That's ridiculous to even think that. The first thing I did when handicapping the Derby was open the form, draw a line through the 2 Toms, anything that Pletcher had, the Japanese horse, the maiden, and any horse that ran in the Wood Memorial. That's who didn't belong. Unreal
