Dolphins were stuck in that Jrue Holiday territory.

He's not worth that much, but you can't really afford to lose him as you can't replace him and would downgrade the team.

The ghost of Pierre Garçon got $16 mil for next year alone, so it's tough to tell what's an overpay anymore.

Nah he could have got 10+ mil a year on the open market from a couple teams. I think it's a solid deal. He's only 24. Guaranteed money is a little high though.

Can't really compare NFL and NBA free agency. The NFL is much more about fit and scheme where NBA is talent. Stills is a talented route runner with good speed. I don't think there's any shame in keeping him.
