This dude is really, really odd. Can you imagine any other great player such as MJ, Kobe, LBJ, I mean pick one releasing something like this?

KD has always been a total weirdo to me. He's always been a complete a-hole in interviews and at press conferences. He's ornery and arrogant well beyond even that of a professional athlete.

That's the best way to describe him, IMO.

I still don't know what to think of him.

Sometimes I hate him, other times I'm on his side.

He didn't even get THAT much backlash for his move to Golden State. Dude is as sensitive as he is soft.

It has gotten much much worse over the past 5 years. I remember when he was at Texas and with the Supersonics, he was universally loved. I'm glad his true colors have been shown recently. He's a fricking a-hole.

And I don't get the problem here. He dealt with an unprecedented amount of backlash and then came out and a had a career year and historic finals performance. I can see why that would be such a big deal for him

Gives up a 3-1 lead to GS at OKC and then joins them. What a POS.

Almost everyone I know in Oklahoma is over it. Even if doesn't last long (PG13), KD has been replaced.

This basically shows it's actually him who's not over it.

Just bizarre.

How he became one of the best ballers in the world with an ego this fragile is strange to me

Usually these guys don't give a shite what people say... This guy hears and responds to all of it. And he's easily triggered

I just can't believe the dude literally released these on a shoe. He's fanning the fire himself. Maybe he likes to? I have no clue.

I've just never seen a more sensitive superstar ever. Maybe TO but even he's very different for the most part.

Yeah. He may be the most surly "superstar" athlete ever.

I've also never seen a superstar deal with what he dealt with this past year. Should he take the higher road? Maybe. But I can see how that kind of backlash wears on a person

You don't think fans still chirp at him everywhere he goes? Give me a break.

Lebron dealt with way more backlash.

He had a great year, he's a top 2-3 player no doubt. But it is still kind of silly, considering without KD the Warriors are still probably the best team. He really CAN'T prove his haters wrong. Some of the sayings on the shoe - like "Can't beat em, join em", "super team", "blew a 3-1 lead", nothing he did really negates those things. He did what he was supposed to. You could replace KD with any other player in the league and the Warriors, albeit not nearly as good, are still title favorites.

This coming from someone who doesn't care that he left and thinks players should do what they want.
