I collected baseball cards in late 80s, early 90s. I stored many of them in shoe boxes. I was going through them a couple years ago and found them to be worth nothing, but the original Jordan Shoe boxes I was keeping them in were worth a pretty penny!

It could have changed since I was I was on a Nike team in college, but we got team issue gear and that’s it. Not even the Heisman winner in the locker room got Nike stuff that wasn’t Baylor affiliated.
Maybe it has changed though. Wouldn’t shock me.

Yep, I'm sure those $1400 shoes in a non-OSU colorway were standard issue to every player on OSU this season.
FTR, I don't think Fields did anything shady to get those shoes, he'd be a moron if he did and then went to a NCAA event, but you trying to rationalize it the way you did is laughably stupid.

His parents have a pretty decent amount of money tbh. I can see them putting down on the shoes since they're not paying tuition etc. Plus chinease knockoffs baby that's how you gotta do it. The zip tie on those things is hideous however.

LSU has a contract with Nike as well. Chase Young got suspended for two games and doesn’t deserve to be at the Heisman ceremony.
