Good point. The Jags make me feel a little better about being a Raiders fan.

I know weed use is rampant in the NFL. But most guys manage not to get caught. Imagine how much he must be smoking to fail so many tests.
It's why I call BS when people say its not addictive.
Clearly for Ricky Williams, Justin Blackmon, etc. it was worth risking their careers for.

What a tard.
If Randy Moss can manage to pass NFL drug tests, then anyone can.

are you saying white women leave poor black men or that white women are money hungry leeches above all else

Clearly for Ricky Williams,
Weed wasn't his issue. While he was an avid pothead, he had serious social anxiety issues. And comparing him to Blackmon is ludicrous.

It's unreal how hard this guy busted out of the league. He wasn't some dumpster fire of a player like Jamarcus Russell; he actually had a pretty good rookie year and was on pace for an All Pro type year in 2013 when he got pinched. After that he couldn't keep himself out of trouble and doesn't give a flip about returning to the league.
Just amazing to me how this guy pretty much blew his dream.

You don't know it was his dream.
It wasn't Ricky's.
But I had a couple friends at OSU while he was there, they said he LOVED to booze. Big time black out guy.

Dude is a pathological alcoholic and just an overall waste of talent but still a better pick than Bortles.

Dude was instrumental in me winning an NCAA league I was in.
Justin, they can never take that championship away from us!!!

As the #5 pick, he probably still has millions in the bank. He still has a chance to do something with this life. Obviously the NFL wasn't important to him if he couldn't put down the bottle to beat tests.

You think he would have been good if they just let him smoke weed and play football anyway?

Another guy that couldn't stop smoking weed long enough to have an NFL career.
Whats more sad is that when he was a sr. at Okie st. ESPN did a feature on him and a little girl who was his biggest fan... and sick I believe.. The guy could have been a beast.......... Shame..........

do you have info that says otherwise? The guy is an alcoholic. You can accomplish that fairly economically.
As the top 5 pick, his guarantee was most likely in the 8 figures.

all not to forget jaguars passed on amari cooper for dante fowler who tore his knee the first time he put on cleets in the nfl.
Yeah because you foresaw him tearing his ACL, right?
Also the Jags already have Julius Thomas, Marcedes Lewis, Marquise Lee, Allen Robinson, and Allen Hurns, so it's not like there would be any room for Amari Cooper on the offense.
There was a need for an additional pass rusher/DLineman and while I would have preferred Leonard Williams, I didn't hate the Fowler pick because they'll probably set up the scheme to favor him the way UF did. Assuming he comes back from a freak injury, he should be fine.
I look forward to your generic "but Cooper is a playmaker and the Jagwires suck and they're gonna suck more cuz they didn't draft him durrrrr" likely response if you're still reading this thread.

Are we, as a group going to continue to let him inexplicably write like this?

I certainly don't consider Del Rio to be a savior, but the a Raiders have had far worse.
