PGA Tour - Guys play golf for money and prestige by playing against the best in their field.

4 major golf championships every year:
The Masters - Small Field very selective
U.S. Open - Anyone can qualify (even you)
Open Championship - (British Open) Similar to U.S. Open
PGA Championship - Last Major before playoffs

The PGA has a season long points race that culminates with a series of 4 tournaments each narrowing the field down... 125, 100, 70, and finally 30 players qualify for the final event called The Tour Championship. The winner of the points race is the Fedex Cup Champion.

Every 2 years alternating there are events called the Presidents Cup and the Ryder Cup. Ryder Cup is Europe vs. USA and Presidents Cup is World (minus Europe) vs. USA. These are team match play events that are very fun to watch. This year is a Ryder cup year and next year will be Presidents Cup.
