That's insane. The oldest guy in their lineup must be 23 or 24

The Suns would get smashed by Kansas as well

Marquese Chriss - 19
Derrick Jones Jr - 20
Alex Len - 23
Tyler Ulis - 21
Devin Booker - 20
ETA: that was their starting line up last night

Tyson Chandler, Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, and TJ Warren were all DNPs last night. That's where their veteran talent is.

If they let that team marinate for a few years and don't trade anyone they'll have a competitive squad. They'll all hit their prime within two years of each other. Ulis, Chriss and Booker are all pretty talented.

Youngest teams in the NBA

Phoenix: 25.2
Boston: 25.6
Toronto: 25.6
Clippers, Cavs, Spurs, Warriors, and Hawks are the 5 oldest

And people tell me a college all-star team couldn't possibly even compete with the worst NBA team.
They could.
The college guys are virtually the same age and are months away from being top picks in the NBA draft.
It would essentially be the NBA all-rookie team vs. the worst NBA team.

quote:Well, Phoenix did lose by 28 to the worst team in the league, after being up 10 after 1 quarter as well. But yea, it is possible, but it would be very unlikely 99 times out of 100 IMO.

So you think a rookie team of Karl Anthony Towns, Dangelo Russell, Jahlil Okafor, Kristaps Porzingis, Myles Turner, Devin Booker, etc. would lose to the worst NBA team 99 times out of 100?
I mean, the Sixers have been basically a rookie team the past few years and even they win about 20 games out of 82... and they aren't playing the worst team every night.

I agree with this. We are looking at the Suns playing around game 70 of the season with a beat up roster.
If you take a healthy NBA roster and put them against a college all star team, I would take the NBA team to win almost every time.

The Kentucky team from a few years ago that almost went unbeaten could challenge the worst NBA team. They had Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis coming off their bench. They had nearly ten NBA caliber players on their roster. Their best player, Karl Anthony Towns, has been a badass from day one in the NBA.

The Suns are basically a college team based on age and experience. Look past the name on their jersey and look at the human beings.
What makes the Phoenix Suns starting 5 better than the best 5 players entering the NBA draft to the point where they'd win 99 times out of 100?

They will get another great talent in this draft, possibly Josh Jackson. Adding Jackson to that group gives them a really interesting young core to develop

quote:I'll concede if we're talking Philly level bad of tanking. But that is tanking taken to the next level, whereas the worst team in the NBA usually isn't that bad.
