JT Curtis doesn't get bored by beating up on inferior teams?

I would feel a little guilty about it after a while and find a bigger challenge.

Should play down to the competition like Les to entertain fans.

Its a joke. Most of the teams he plays in his classification should not even be on the same field. JT should be playing junior colleges. We played those guys in the late 80s. They wiped out our roster.

But to answer your question, the bulk of their schedule is obviously out of their control.

Outside of that, they brought in a decent out-of-state team this season and they're going up a division next year.

I've played against these guys and they have no class at all. The last game that can really haunt him is when he lost in the quarter finals to Opelousas high in 1992.

Or when Shaw broke a 40-something game home winning streak of theirs in 1998.

Don't they not only recruit New Orleans but hold kids back?

Their semifinal game against Springfield, they dressed out 101 kids, Springfield 33. Seems fair.

IMO, the real pricks in this are the 4A and 5A coaches and administrators that got tired of losing to the "small" schools like Evangel and Curtis and voted to quit letting them play up. Now they can play up ONE class (a collaborative effort between the 2A, 4A and 5A schools). I just wish they had been playing up this year, I think this year's Parkview team could have given them a heck of a game, but they are graduating their entire starting backfield.

you mean the pricks that can't recruit inner city black kids to play skill positions for them but Evangel and JT can? Shocking...that's absurd these public high coaches want Ev and JT to play by the same rules as the public.

Outrage. Condemnation. Shame

Football factory....they would even demolish many of the 5A schools. The only overall district that could be competitive with them would be the Catholic school district.

And I get the whole concept that everyone wants to win. But when it's not even a competition anymore, I just don't see how that is satisfying. It's like taking a varsity basketball team to go beat up on the jv teams and feeling like you accomplished something. And I am not hating on JT. He obviously is very good at his profession and I also think he does a good job on the Friday night football show.

Kids have been changing from one public school to another since desegregation (which I lived through), so sell that to someone that's buying it. Good example from a 1000 years ago was Tommy Calandro and the Tara/Bellaire move. Now, I don't know if they have it as finely honed as to find the parents jobs like Curtis does, and redshirting is definitely tougher...

he doesn't have much of an option. They were in 4A and had some good games against Neville, OP Walker, and Salmen but everyone bitched and made them play in 2A. Out of district this year they played 2 5A schools and one of the better programs from Florida...

John Curtis has never, even when allowed, played up in the State's highest classification. At least Evangel played up to 5A when they were allowed.

Do you really think that Evangel is better than PBS? Curtis had a long fumble scoop and score and Duron missed the entire second half and that was a 20 point game. And Evangel may have beat us, but we were more talented. Take Duron out for a half and that is U-High in the Dome, not ECA. And I think PBS was better than we were. And PBS had enough depth to keep that from being a factor like it was with everyone else they play. Guess we will see next year.

Curtis is likely one of the 2-3 best teams in the nation. Yes, I think they'd roll Parkview, U-High, and pretty much everyone else in Louisiana outside of maybe Rummel, West Monroe, and Barbe by at least 20

So the real pricks aren't the ones with 101 players dressed out in a school of 300 kids total?
