Drummond beasting after a slow start. 5-16 free throws though is brutal.

Yessir. Averaged almost 16 ppg and 14 rpg in December. That includes 3 20+ rebound games.

To those saying "Its only been 3 games", I counter with: this isn't the 3rd game of Smith's career.

He is what he is.

Still a smart move by Houston, but its one that isn't going to work out. He's a talented bum.
He hasn't looked great so far, but I'm willing to give him some slack considering he didn't even have a practice with the team before his last 3 games.

There was a lot of miscommunication, and you could see it. He didn't know where he should be at times in the offense.

Not only does he have to get better acclimated, but his teammates have to get acclimated to playing with him... and the other new players have to get acclimated to playing with the team.

It's going to take some time if it's going to work.

It's almost like going through pre-season all over again when there are big changes to the rotation by adding new players.

Maybe. If it continues past a reasonable amount of time then I'd say there is a problem.

But it's hard to make a judgement at this point.

lol... well it wasn't so much that as it was he didn't seem to know where to be at times or what he was supposed to do in the offense.

I think he should be coming off the bench right now until he can grasp it and prove that he deserves a starting spot. Especially because Motiejunas was playing great basketball until Josh Smith took his starting spot.

But he was sold on being a starter to get him here so that's probably not going to happen.

He should be coming off the bench, period...he can help the Rockets, but for 20-25 minutes a night, rarely closing games.

If they continue to play well, they might sneak into the playoffs with 38 wins or so. Unlikely but possible in the shitty east.

I'm not getting that excited yet. I'm just glad they are playing better. Their 5-23 start was depressing. The worst basketball I have seen in a long time.

Pistons now 4-0 without Josh Smith. 5-23 with him.

Josh Smith? Well, he's not doing so hot.
