He probably performed a cost-benefit analysis and found out he should indeed smoke the weed but may have misinterpreted some values or made a math error. That's a shame.

Im not sure he did. He gets tested constantly, and this was the only time he failed. And the fact that he failed at such a small level seems like it could be something else that triggered to positive. He continued to get tested after the failed test, and tested negative for those too.

I think he was referring to after his first NFL failed test.

He was constantly tested before the 2nd failuer in line with the punishment from the 1st fail, and was still tested after his 2nd "failure" and didn't test positive.

So it could be an anomaly.

John Abraham got his 2 DUI while in the league last week and probably won't be touched by the league

Ray rice knocks his girl out like Tyson, two games

Josh Gordon smokes weed, dude might not ever get his suspension lifted

He needs to rush out and beat-a-bitch. The NFL will have no choice but to reduce his suspension.

That Ray Rice thing might work in his favor. Even the always tone deaf NFL might not be in a hurry to uphold his suspension if they have an out and subject themselves to the outcry all over again.

In fact, somebody much more cynical than me would even suggest that the "source" was somebody in the NFL office prepping everybody for Goodell to exercise some good judgment and reduce the suspension.

@AdamSchefter 22s
Josh Gordon will dispute test results, as @profootballtalk also reported, and argue they came from 2nd-hand smoke. LINK

see your point but Gordo was busted for DWI too, although Big John's was .2

Fact of the matter is Gordo broke a rule....but it's pretty dumb how he did so if the report is true about A & B being interchangeable and how he could have easily been tested for sample B as sample A and not gotten suspended

Yeah, they're talking about it on ESPN right now. Discrepancies between conduct policy, which is subjective (Rice), and this dumb shite, which is "policy".

Its actually the only way he could have failed a test by such small margins. Had he actually smoked he would have failed by a lot more.

Also, 15 ng/ml is a really small number.

Usual tests are 50 ng/ml.

If there was a varience between the two of 2.4 ng/ml he certainly has a case as the two standard deviations of confidence intervals for 95% confidence falls well outside the 15 ng/ml spectrum.

I'm actually pro Josh Gordon now, frick that test.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Gordon landed in Stage III of the program last year as part of a negotiated two-game suspension for the use of cough syrup that contained codeine. Once in Stage III, a player never leaves. And he must pass up to 10 drug tests per month.

According to the source, Gordon has passed at least 70 drug tests.

Yeah I can see it being secondhand smoke if he's being tested that much.

And Ray Rice "barely" laid the smackdown on his wife.
