My neighbor threw one at least 130 yards once. It was when we got school out for Hurricane George but it missed us at the last second and all we had were huge gusts of wind. He threw it up into the wind and it just sailed forever, went WAY over my head

Still do, often take it to the beach. It's one of the greatest inventions ever.

Anyone else threw the Vortex by putting the tail between their index and middle finger?

I had one, but we played with a regular football and rarely threw the Vortex around. I'd kind of like one now that we're discussing it.

a couple weeks ago in athens after coming home from downtown, a bunch of us were talking outside someone's apartment and a cop car pulls into the apartment complex across the street. as it is pulling in we hear a faint "whistling" growing louder heading towards the car. we immediately recognized the vortex as it narrowly missed the cop car from like 60 yards away. we went and got it and no one ever yelled to claim it or anything and that night has gone down as the best thing that has ever happened to us.

Do they make stuff like that these days? Or is everything based on computers, iPads and Facebook?
