I'm lost I guess. His team last year was really good and in their last regular season game were ranked 3 about to knock off 2 and get a chance at a playoff spot and conference title. The bounce didn't go his way and now all of a sudden he sucks?
Michigan was a foot away from the playoffs last year.

The year before that, he went 10-3 when the predictions before the season aggregated to around a 6-6/7-5 year.

Ask yourself this question then:

Based on the last 2.5 seasons, does he deserve the $9 million/a year salary Michigan is paying him? Saban is making $2 million less than he is. Think about that.

When you're making that much money a year you aren't supposed to have "rebuilding" seasons.

The problem is that victory over a horrible UF tean raised the expectations. This is going to be a rough year but it'll get better.

The problem with this board is it doesn't realize that Michigan lost 17 starters from last year. That is unprecedented.

Phil Steel, the CFB stat guru, went back to 2001 and could only find one team from a p-5 conference who lost 17 or more. One in 16 years.

I don't look at pay to determine if someone is overrated.

He’s not overrated. He was highly sought after and paid accordingly. He’s going to produce.

I'm still waiting for somebody to explain to me how he was "overrated" before coming to Michigan.

Not a single major media personality ever said that or thought that.

Has he been a mild disappointment here? Yes especially this year.

I do I'm afraid. Is he worth $9 million? If not...then he's overrated.

These guys don't realize that UMs funding has gone up drastically since Harbaugh got there.

If Harbaugh is as overrated and average as this board claims, then why won't they put their money where their mouths are and flat out predict no NFL franchise would go after him?

He’s making 7 million this year and Saban is making 11.125 this year

He made that team instantly better

He still is playing a back up though and his starter wasn't a world beater.

Who says Harbaugh isn't a great NFL coach? He is. There's a number of better college coaches better than him though such as Gary Patterson, Chris Petersen, Dabo and Jimbo.

So did Brady Hoke in his first season with the Wolverines. The trick is to sustain.
