LOL, i've been saying this for years.

It is the Mediocre Football League

And it won't get better, till cheap arse owners build a development league, where QB's,OL,WR,etc can actually develop.

The NFL's Sunday regional 2/1 broadcast package is absurdly outdated. If you aren't a fan of your local team, what's the point? If you have two local teams, forget it. I have been getting the Ravens and Redskins every Sunday for years. . As soon as I stopped playing fantasy football, I completely lost interest.

I'm offended by the Sunday Ticket model. Put the best game of the day on TV, PERIOD. Make the bandwagon Cowboys/Patriots fans who don't give a *** about football pay for it. I don't think it's right that the loyal, hardcore NFL fans are forced to pay for the games they want to watch.

I get why they have to do it this way, but I don't believe in penalizing your most loyal audience.

Like this coming week. If your market gives you the early game on CBS instead of the late game, you will be forced to watch Cowboys/Redskins. I said it earlier--screw you, NFL. I don't want to watch to Cowboys, and I don't want the "honor" of paying a bunch of money not to.

"awful QB play"

The rule books are completely rigged to protect the QB and the WR's and promote passing.

There's this bizarre idea that QB's are "supposed" to throw for 400 yards and 5 TD's a game or something is 'wrong'

Another league needs to spring up to get some competition going. Then I think we will see a better NFL.

The NFL would also be more interesting and innovative if hiring coaches didn't hinge upon whether your daddy was a coach or not.

Plus throw in artifically limiting supply in an attempt to monetize demand. There are what 15 to 16 games per week, I have access to 6 at most without paying the NFL directly. Someone like me who is a casual fan, I'm not paying to watch the NFL. And when you are stuck with shitty regional matchup like Atlanta And the Titans every Sunday, I'm not watching.

I feel like since they have people in the booth already, plays that look questionable should start being reviewed IMMIEDIATELY, so if a coach decides he wants to challenge, a decision is already made or 30-45 seconds closer to being made

Don’t wait for the chains to move, teams to line up, a coach to decide, etc to start looking at a play that everyone knows is questionable.. then there would be no need for a tv timeout

This is a stupid question but would there be anyway for the NFL to have day games on ABC and/or NBC?

I havent watched a full NFL game in at least a decade. The rules changes has made it almost unwatchable. If a DE sneezes on a QB he gets a penalty, the DBs cant touch the WRs, etc. Also a decade before that the introduction of the salary cap and free agency destoyed teams built through the draft.

Screw it! I have college football and that is all I need!

Seriously. As a kid I loved the NFL, however as they made the game more sterile, more corporate, and less physical I found myself watching it less and less.

I'm boycotting the NFL now and it was very easy for me to do so because I realized I was barely even watching it before I started officially boycotting it anyway.

So this is the Trump didn't break the NFL, the product of the field did thread?

Good. Because the other 2 were claiming they knew why the NFL ratings sucking had nothing to do with Trump

This is nothing new. There’s always been crappy teams with bad QB’s. Lions went winless years ago. Rams, Browns, Bills, Raiders and Jaguars were terrible for years. There were still bum QB’s starting 10-15 years ago. There was a time I would watch games regardless of who was playing. Now that is no longer the case. Sounds like a weak arse excuse to me.

Bunch of things have lead the NFL down the path

1. Elimination of “big hits”
2. Redzone/Fantasy Football’s epic rise (fans care about player stats more than who wins or loses in games they don’t have a vested interest)
3. Over officiating of the game. Just way too many stoppages of play for flags.
4. Over exposure. TNF was overkill.
5. Player antics (include the kneeling stuff)
6. NFL’s general arrogance

My main reason for watching less is...Redzone. Ok Redzone and 2 kids.

But I'll watch the shite out of Redzone, but the problem is, the ADD nature of Redzone has scarred me to the point that I really can't watch SNF or MNF.

Other than the Saints or the playoffs, I can't really sit and watch an entire game any more because of Redzone.

Ditto here.

IF I watch the NFL, it is RZC only.

No commercials and no politics.

Only problem with RZC is you see so many games so you can see another problem I have that makes the NFL unwatchable now is the brutally blatantly obvious tilted officiating. Every week it is the same teams that benefit and you see it consistently on the RZC. It is to the point now where I don't know why they bring "rules experts" on anymore because they can no longer explain the hocus pocus every week. The NFL is becoming the SEC minus the pride and tradition.

I said basically the same thing in a thread a few days ago. A lot of people are using the kneeling as an excuse to quit watching because they didn't really care anyway and they just needed a reason. The NFL has been the "thing" for a while, but that's kind of fading.

There coverage system is idiotic. Most watched sport in the country and I can only watch 6 of the 15 games that are played each week. I live in Alabama and somehow get more Browns games than Titans games
