lol. Have you seen the SEC defenses this year? The O-line of the Jags would maul them.

I know what you're saying, but you're simply wrong. If an all-SEC team actually lived up to their draft hype, they would have a chance at staying close with the Jaguars. The problem is that most are busts.

Not so sure about that. There are recent LSU grads like Peterson, Mathieu, Reid, etc. ripping shite up in the NFL this year. Rookies like Luck and RGIII were doing the same a year before.

You still think the best college players if given time to prepare as a team would get their asses handed to them by the Jags?

I'd have to say no.

I think it would be much closer than you think.

What, seriously?

They're almost beating NFL teams by that number before they take their foot off the gas pedal. Its indescribable what Manning would do to a college defense.

Manning would almost be superfluous. The NFL OL would destroy the college DL and the NFL RBs could just shuttle in and out, taking turns having 15-20 YPC.

Let me just get this out of the way: This is retarded. No one thinks Bama has a chance. Bama's best team ever would get destroyed by 50+ by the worst NFL team.

Think about what you're saying. First, the exceptions don't defeat the rule. Second, RGIII plays behind an NFL 0-LINE. REID PLAYS NEXT TO OTHER NFL PLAYERS. They are pieces of a larger whole. Their success doesn't occur in a vacuum.

And I disagree. A team made up of NCAA All-Americans will have several players better than any Jags player. (Luck or RGIII, Patrick Peterson, etc.)

They will have several who wouldn't pan out in the NFL.

And most of them would be comparable to most Jags players when they get to the NFL.

It would be a competitive game.

How about this, a team made up of all of last year's NFL rookies. How would that team look?

I know. But there are college players who are NFL-caliber.

An O-line of the best NFL rookies could compete. They are NFL-caliber.

You're talking about very few skill position players that have panned out. Barrett Jones was the best lineman in the country for 3 straight years in college. He will never start in the NFL. Think about that.

The Jags would cause a prolapsed anus to any team of NCAA players.

That's it? Considering Bama isn't even impressive this year, I don't see why it wouldn't be way higher. Would Bama even score once?

If this game were to really happen and the line was 17.5 I would bet everything I own and borrow money to bet on the Jags.

Everyone of the players on the Jags is an NFL player there are none on Bama's roster. Sure there are potential NFL players. The practices and conditioning an NFL team goes through is ten times what a college team goes through.

The worst NFL team ever? I think if we took some real awful team from the 40s an all American team now could hang due to size and training (assuming the old team is stuck in leather helmet land and barely knows how to pass)

The biggest issue from the 40s would be the dearth of black players

For shits and giggles, I went back to the 2008 All-SEC team and cherry-picked a lineup from the 1st and 2nd team after having the luxury of seeing these players pan out. No way in hell this team would have beat the Jags out of college, and I doubt they could today since they would have no depth whatsoever. They do have some nice skill players though.

QB - Matthew Stafford
RB - Knowshon Moreno
WR - Julio Jones
WR - A. J. Green
WR - Percy Harvin
TE - Jared Cook
OL - Michael Oher
OL - Garry Williams
OL - John Jerry
OL - Andre Smith
C - Mike Pouncey

DL - Terrence Cody
DL - Sen'Derrick Marks
DL - Robert Ayers
DL - Greg Hardy
LB - Jasper Brinkley
LB - Brandon Spikes
LB - Eric Berry*
DB - D.J. Moore
DB - Joe Haden
DB - Rashad Johnson
DB - Javier Arenas

*I couldn't find 3 quality LBers on the All-SEC squad, so I plugged in Berry.

That DL, and to a lesser extent, the OL, would get manhandled by the Jags even today. Stafford would just have to throw it up and pray one of his insane WRs would make a play.

Didn't even think of that, but great point. No speed at all on those trends, just motors that never quit

How is this even a topic? Every year this stupid topic comes up, and every year it is equally stupid, if not more so than the preceding year.

Let's make a team of last years rookies:

QB: Andrew Luck / Russell Wilson
RB: Doug Martin
Rec: Michael Floyd
Rec: Josh Gordon
TE: Dwayne Allen
LT: Matt Kalil
RT: Mitchell Schwartz
LG: Amini Silatolu
RG: Kevin Zeitler
C: Trevor Robinson

Defense:

DE: Derek Wolfe
DE: Chandler Jones
DT: Fletcher Cox
DT: Mike Martin
MLB: Luke Kuechly
OLB: Dont'a Hightower
OLB: Lavonte David
CB: Casey Hayward
CB: Morris Claiborne
S: Harrison Smith
K: Justin Tucker
P: Bryan Anger

If you don't think that team could compete with the Jags, you're kidding yourself.
