They got embarrassed today with a West Coast team traveling for an early game. That's about as easy as it gets, no matter who it is. Losing is one thing, but they got whooped.

Wish MJD was on a better team.

It wasn't that long ago that the Jags were considered a team to be reckoned with for the near future and that Garrard was a future star.

Oops.

They aren't Tampa or anything. They scared the shite out of Indy last week. Warner just went all Warner on them today, ridiculously accurate day.

Ever see that classic postgame with Garrard in his green pimp suit and hat?

They aren't moving for the forseeable future. Our past GM, Shack, really did a number on this team. Del Rio and Garrard suck too.

The team we have is a result of poor coaching and years of horrible drafting. Thankfully our new GM, Gene Smith, is actually qualified for the job. I think Del Rio will be gone after this year and we're definitely going to address the QB position with our 1st pick in the draft.

We just have to weather the storm. It will be another year or two until we get back to being a solid team. However, for the first time in years things actually look bright now that we have Smith in charge of things.

I think they'll be in JAX for about 5 years, just cause the economy sucks everywhere

Yeah, but they're talking about taking Tebow. You would think after the Matt Jones debacle they would steer clear, but apparently they are thinking of selling tickets. Colt would be a good fit, Locker might even be better with the OL breaking down.

Our owner mentioned Tebow in an article but I don't think we're set on him. All personnel decisions are made by Gene Smith. I have faith that he'll do what he did in last year's draft and take the best available player. He'll only take Tebow if he believes he can win as our QB. Otherwise he'll go with someone else.

After all, people say Tebow might help with selling tickets. The one thing that is guaranteed to sell tickets is winning. IMO we'll draft whoever gives us the best chance to win, which will in turn help ticket sales.

There is much talk and belief down here in Orlando sport radio that if Jax took Tebow, they'd sell out season tix in a minute. There is a belief that Gator fans would just follow him so to speak; Saturdays in G'ville, Sundays in J'ville.

Theyd have to pick Tebow way earlier than he'd go to get him

While that may happen, you have to look at the possibility of him not becoming an NFL QB. If we were to draft him and it doesn't work out then we'd have wasted another 1st RD. pick, we'd still be losing, and fans would be bitching about the playcalling or how the team isn't using Tebow right. In the end it would ultimately do a ton of harm and any increase in ticket sales would die off.

On the other hand, if it worked out and Tebow played well as an NFL QB it would be awesome. The perfect situation.

No one knows for sure though how Tebow is going to do. We've had too many busts in the 1st RD. these past years. I just don't think we take the gamble again on Tebow. Unless we pick the BAP which happens to be someone else in the 1st RD. and he's still there for our next pick.

How could San Antonio get a team without the NFL allowing it? Please excuse my ignorance, I really don't know.

The Alamodome is below NFL standards. I remember in 2005 they said that it would take lots of upgrades and the city didn't have the money. They need more suites and there's no room for them

The Alamo dome and its not suitable for a full time team, especially with Reliant and Jerry world for comparison.
