I'm not sayin Westbrook is better but watching the finals last year, durant didn't seem that into it while Westbrook was carrying the team. Worth noting.

I can agree with this.

“We’re worse when I take more shots,” Durant said. “Like I said, that guy doesn’t know a thing. I don’t think he watches us. I think he just looks at the stats. And traditionally, a point guard is not supposed to take more shots than everybody else on the team. But we’re better when he does do that and he’s aggressive. And I’m better when I’m out there facilitating, rebounding, defending and being more efficient on my shots with less shots.”

Durant likes Westbrook being the leader of the team.

Durant is an unselfish player if you watch him play despite him being one of the NBA scoring leaders.

Durant can become strangely passive at times so it's good that he has Westbrook to balance it out.

Westbrook is aggressive. Durant is passive. Westbrook is the leader.

Durant also takes 2 more FTs a game. So that's basically 1 more FGA. So they're basically the same with regards to field goal attempts. Durant can be denied the ball fairly easily. So that leaves Westbrook having to make decisions. Add to it that Westbrook is quicker in transition so he probably gets more fast break FGA than Durant, leaving Durant with more attempts in the half-court.

I don't think people are fair or really understand the OKC offense. They have the #2 offense in the league. How that reflects negatively on Westbrook is beyond my comprehension.

I wish people would be harder on Durant's deficiencies than just blaming Westbrook for whatever ills they feel the Thunder have.

I wonder how long he gets the free pass.

I don't know if there will come a point where he gets the "he can't win the big one" treatment if they don't win or if he'll always have the built in excuse where Westbrook mysteriously gets ALL of the blame.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. I personally think Westbrook is a top 5 player but some people for some reason overlook the incredible things he does and only focus on the one or two dumb plays per game

I think Durant will start tiger that label after his seventh season if he does not win it by then.

Westbrook is titty skin. He is among the most underrated players in the game.

He brings more to the table than he takes off, no doubt about it. But then he'll have a game where you just have to scratch your head and wonder WTF he's thinking. He's a lot like Rondo in that regard.

LeBron was on Durant, Westbrook was being defended by Wade (good D, but not Bron Bron level) and Chalmers.

1. LeBron
2. Dwight (when he's healthy)
3. Kobe
4. Duncan
5. Durant

Just my opinion.

That's way too high. He makes too many bad decisions, doesn't shoot anywhere well enough, and isn't a good enough defender to be considered top 5. He's super talented though, but he still has work to do to be top 5 in my opinion. For me you can't be a top 5 player without being a two-way guy. He's probably set in the top 15 though.

Come on now how can you put Duncan in there..... If we are going off of just stats, he's nowhere close
