Is there a more underrated player than Saquon Barkley?

Yes, they talk about him but nowhere near the amount of pub Fournette, Cook, Mccaffrey, and even Chubb got.

I think his skills are at the very least on par with those guys and may even be better. His skillsbout of the backfield as a receiver reminds me a lot of Marshall Faulk.

This run against SC is just insane.

He was top 2 with Guice in just about every preseason ranking.

He and Guice are not in the same class IMO. And I'm a huge Guice fan. Guice doesn't have Barkley's deep speed.

He's been getting a ton of pub in CFB circles, maybe nationally he's been lacking the high profile coverage I guess.

Underexposed would probably be the word. Everyone seems to agree that he's the top back in the country right now.

He is on every Heisman watch list, on every top 5 draft board, every top RB list, etc

I don't know how that is exactly "underrated"

You're right. Perhaps underexposed is a better word

Barkley will be a better pro than all. Of the guys you named. Insane talent.

He has got to be the leader for the Heisman at the moment.

There's people on this board that unfortunately never heard of him. Personally for what he has to do for that team, he's the best RB in the country

He was a Heisman candidate coming into the season. If anything the Penn St QB is the one that's underrated. They're my not so dark horse to win it all

I happen to think he is overrated, in a Johnny Manziel type of way. He throws the ball up for grabs too often, and with great WRs you can do that. PSU doesn't have their #1 WR from last year who IMO saved him a ton on his ducks.

I could for sure be proven wrong, but nothing I saw from him last year made me feel he was a really legit QB

I have no clue who the Penn State QB is, apparently he hasn't done much or gained the requisite exposure to justify any over/underrating, Barkley drives the Nittany Lions bus like Lydell, Curt Warner, Dozier, Blair Thomas, Ki-Jana Carter, Larry Johnson and other venerable predecessors that set the PSU RB standard relative to team success.

I'll throw Damien Harris name into the ring. Rushed for 1,000+ yards last season at 7.1 yards per carry. Added 2 receiving touchdowns. He's started this year at 6.1 yards per carry. Bo Scarbrough is the only Bama back that most people around the country can name.

Doesn't have the extra gear that Guice or Barkley have, but he's just as talented as both at the line of scrimmage and is the same size as those guys.
