they’re actually way too cheap to ever win a WS.
Why do you say that?

If you can get to multiple World Series, you’re good enough to win one.

It's a shitty stadium, you're right. But, it's in the fricking city. Wth are you talking about? but seriously it could use a decent ball park. And in that area, they do a need at least a half domed park, they just don't have the money for it unfortunately.

didn't the NHL give them and Seattle some advantages?

Ehhhh, sorta. They changed the expansion draft rules, yes, and the Knights took advantage. Never before had players of Fleury or Neal's caliber been available in expansion. But the Knights' best moves during that draft were guys that NO ONE expected to be worth a frick, like Karlsson and Marchessault. Both of those guys are still on the team.

That said, the Knights are incredibly well run by every metric. They have excellent support, outpace the league in sponsorship dollars, have become an FA destination because they're devoted to winning beyond all else, and have the best in-game presentation in sports- while still being distinctly Vegas.

That said, the Rays do more with less than anyone else in baseball, and it's not really close. No substitute for competent leadership.

Think everyone else pretty much nailed it, they scout and develop very well, stadium sucks.

The only negative I hold against them are the current uniforms and name. They should have stayed the Devil Rays with their original uniforms

Awesome Thread. I agree. They can take Krispy Kreme doughnuts and turn it into a go cart. Very efficient run operation.
