I've watched their games, have you?
You said give them all they could handle originally. Now you say they could hang with them.
I'll agree they could hang, but that's it. They lose more than they win.

Michigan was averaging 40 PPG on the season and Sparty held them to 6.
michigan also almost lost to Akron and UConn

Hell, if Stanford beats Oregon and wins out they could jump osu.
Don't think that would realistically happen. The Sh*tstorm that would descend would be epic though.
Baylor is not jumping OSU based on the name brand. Baylor's best wins will be over teams who will have 3 losses (aside from OU).
I think there are 5-6 really complete teams in the country, and after that, about 15 teams who are really good in specific facets of the game, and bad in other areas.

There are so few defensive minded teams left in the country. Scoring 40 a game doesn't mean much anymore

I've watched almost every one of Wisky's games, and like Oregon, they wear teams down late in the game. It's obviously a different style of offense, but the results are similar. They run more power than Oregon of course, and don't score one big plays as often, but the end results are pretty similar offensively. They don't run hurry up etc. but they are efficient on offense.

SpartyGator, how do you like those rankings?
I'm not really bothered by it. The Big 10 does suck and MSU's O is complete crap. Other than the MICH win, they really haven't done much (@Iowa is alright, lost @ND who barely beat Navy). As long as they keep winning, they'll be fine.
I really hope they don't frick up @NEB, though.

I know Buckeye fans love to obfuscate, but the plain and simple fact is the Big 10 is a bad conference.
This.
They love to play the "you can't compare game" and takes simple comparisons among common opponents into...the 6-degrees of separation game to mock the point.
What else are we supposed to do but compare OOC common opponents when your victories in conference don't mean jack...
If the worst Pac 12 team scores more points against tOSU than any other Pac 12 opponent - including the bottom-feeders - that says quite a bit about how much better than Pac 12 and all conferences are over the Big10.
The Big10 his HISTORICALLY BAD! We are actually underestimating how bad they are. This is MAC bad! Michigan vs. Akron! Purdue's only victory is against Indiana State!!!!!
tOSU would be just another contender in the Pac-12 South with UCLA and the Sun Devils who beat tOSU's 7 point victory Wisconsin...and USC/Zona.
They might not be a player in the Pac-12 North with Oregon and Stanford significantly better than them.

Ok fair enough. I'm just not sure if the LSUs/A&M's/USCe's of the world are really that good this year on both sides of the ball, like they have been in the past.

Doesn't matter one bit where MSU is ranked. OSU only gets into the game if 2 teams lose
Baylor jumps OSU if they win out

Wisconsin are good teams that would give the SEC (other than Bama) all they could handle.
ASU beat them, just like we are going to beat Oregon in December!

Are we going to ignore the hose job Wisky got against the Pac 12 South's leader, at ASU?
I am not trying to say the B1G is good, but the best statistical D in the country, by a LARGE margin, is getting little respect, when they have shut some good offenses

Hahaha. That was a hose job and everyone knows it. I don't know if Wisky makes the FG of course, but they should have had the opportunity to kick it

I think it was an honest mistake.
I watched it a hundred times in real time and I can't see him kneel. Only in slow-mo can you really tell.

you seem to not understand how the BCS works.
about half the computer polls arent even worth looking at until the regular season is over.

Sparty reminds me a lot of a typical LSU team. Really great defense and an offense that could be charitably described as anemic. They are tough and like to hit you, on both sides.
I've been enjoying the hell out of Sparty games this season. They should be ranked higher, but it's not like they are a title contender, so it doesn't matter all that much.

I agree it could have been an honest mistake. But the sequence should have triggered something to the officials that it was wrong. Wisky wasn't trying to hurry up, ASU jumped on the ball like it was a fumble (although he had at the least given himself up), and the officials don't even look at it to see if the guy is "down."

Baylor plays like 4 ranked teams in a row before playing an almost ranked Texas. If they win out, I don't see how they don't jump OSU.
I have a feeling if Baylor and OSU played on a neutral field, the score would be something like 63-35 Bears.

Idk, you might be right. I just think Stanford and Missouri have a better chance at jumping an undefeated OSU.
The fact that so many schools have that opportunity is pretty comical though
