F Hernandez. Dude was a dirt bag and the work is a better place without him.

Hernandez killed Odin Lloyd because he thought he was going to out him. This was actually reported two days before he killed himself. Word got out, he couldn't take it so he hung himself.

Hernandez was a gang member, they take take to kindly to fairy boys. It's alleged that either he was told by the gang members to either off himself or they would kill his family or he was so devastated he had to do it.

AH, OJ.

Crime stuff sticks. Even more with death involved for the perpetrator.

Everyone talks about OJ with USC, Sandusky with PSU... Hernandez with the Pats.

AH got more press than Kraft's wife's death or Brady's SB MVP.

Sorry that rankles you as a fanboy but AH got tons more press than almost anything the Pats did in the field.

Some barstool guys were hanging out with the Pats punter the day Hernandez got arrested and said basically the entire locker room was frightened of Hernandez and wouldn't dare do anything to piss him off bc they all knew he was a psychopath

Well he was having outbursts at Gillette Stadium just days after being drafted.

LINK
quote:

It didn’t take long for Hernandez’s quick temper to be revealed at Gillette Stadium. According to an NFL source, within days of being drafted, Hernandez was at the team facility trying to watch film.

When he couldn’t figure out how to use the equipment, he asked how it worked, but got no answer. When Wes Welker walked by the room, Hernandez asked for his help, but Welker said, "Rookie, you figure it out."

Hernandez responded with expletives.

From the tweets in the story:
quote:

re Welker/Hernandez interaction frm story: Hernandez's response was "f--- you Wes, I'll f--- you up!" (Globe is family friendly paper ;)

seeing mentions that what Hernandez said to Wes wasn't big deal. person who relayed story saw it - AH wasn't joking.

Michelle McPhee, Boston investigative reporter and ex prisoners saying this, not me. Been all over Boston radio since Monday.

Also about the Ian Rappaport thing, he also threatened to kill Wes Welker if he ever fricked with him again.

Let's lay this out as I see it.

I think his estate has a decent chance at getting the 3.25 million of the signing bonus that wasn't paid out. The thinking is that it was already "earned" when he signed on the contract even if it hadn't been paid out. Though this does depend on the language used and the contract.

As to the "guaranteed base salaries" totaling 2+ million, the Patriots believe that CBA language allows them to be voided (i.e. he could have earned them by playing but they lost the guarantee). The CBA governs NFL contracts and as such, it looks like the Patriots might not be obligated to pay those salaries.

CBS Sport article on suspensions
quote:

Every NFL contract I've seen since the new CBA took effect in 2011 contains language voiding contract guarantees for an exhaustive list of defaults by the player.

PED usage, substance abuse, conduct detrimental and personal conduct suspensions are usually among the numerous defaults. Typically, any guarantees in current and future contract years immediately void with a default. The player will still have the opportunity to earn to the salary that is no longer guaranteed on a non-guaranteed basis.

He told Welker he would whack his entire extended family. The guy definitely had issues.
