Is LeBron James the most powerful athlete in the world right now?

I would say it's between him and Ronaldo. However, LeBron has vast busines interests in the US. Basketball shoes sell even after you've retired. HIs earning potential even after his career ends is higher and he is also political (even if you don't agree with Gus positions). And Ronaldo isn't really interested in politics he said.

Michael Jordan beat the Monstars by himself. The only help he had was by some hot bunny.

nothing says political future like having a high school diploma and no tangible experience actually running anything

LeBron has a deal with Audemars Piguet, but I see your point.

You can definitely make a case that Federer is more powerful than LeBron in his respective sport. Think about it. When LeBron retires, the NBA will likely still be tremendously popular. Once Federer retires, there will be an enormous drop of interest in tennis for a number of years.

Dumb post. Obvious answer is obvious.

ESPN had Ronlado #1, LeBron #2, and Messi #3. Neymar and Federer were 4 and 5.
IIRC, Messi doesn't use social media, which hurt his score.
No way LeBron is more popular worldwide than Messi.
