They are still objective and fair in the sense that if 2 teams played the same schedule and had the same record, they would be ranked the same.

And they don't watch the games btw in case you actually thinking the eyeball test still counts.

It does and that is why they are averaged with the human polls. But at the end of the day if three teams have the same record, the most deserving teams (ones will a tougher schedule) should go. If 6 computers all agree on those 2 teams, they might be on to something

i find it funny both teams- wisky and OU have a reputation for pouring it on for style points. expect both to put their foot on the floor in the 2nd half of games the rest of the way...

you must only look at final scores instead of a box score. just because OU scores a lot of points doesn't mean they pour it on in the second half. i did a pretty detailed analysis of OU scoring the other day with a fellow TD poster who thought the same as you.

Wiscy would win a conference championship game, OU would not.

The CC game would hold more sway with who got in.

But to answer the OP. Yes, it is fair to hold up OU's past track record. The voters have been the deciding factor on B12 teams getting to the championship game.

i'm fairly confident that when OU, Wisconsin and Alabama are all undefeated, it will be OU v. Alabama in the NC.

computers, not voters, put OU into the title game in 2003

They had such a commanding lead that going into the Big 12 championship game they knew they were already going to the BCS NCG

How in the hell is it fair to say the current OU team shouldn't get it because they wear the same jersey as some players did in 2004?

so we have an undefeated SEC school- LSU or bama- and an undefeated OU and wisonsin. obviously, the SEC winner is in, but someones getting left out.

Oklahoma will stay cause Wisky will not play anyone else on the rest of their schedule that would vault them past OU.

Is OKIE St. 12-0???? Then YES. Wisky would be left out cause St. would have beaten a team better than ANY team Wisky has left.

seeing the pokes in the NC game would be a difficult sight to warm up to.
