George Teague stripping the Miami (Fl) receiver as he was going in for TD in 1993 Sugar Bowl was special.
Except it didn't count due to a penalty.
Reed's play stopped BC from defeating history. BC was right next the endzone with less than two minutes left in the fourth. A touchdown most likely ends the game. Instead, Ed Reed padded the score a bit.

It still stopped a miami td tho so the play still had meaning.
And the interception ended the game anyway so the return for 7 is just icing

Not sure if it's the GOAT, but this play was huge
Stripped the ball as the QB was throwing, caught it in midair in the endzone for a TD. UGA won the game by 6 (pollack's play was the only TD uga scored in the game) and it helped propel them to their first SEC title in 20 years and a #3 finish after the win in the sugar bowl.
It doesn't stack up with plays that helped teams win a national title obviously, but it's one of the most important in modern UGA history.

Sad Pollack got AIDS in Coates and lost a ton of weight after that.

The Reed play doesn't even come close.
Teague
Pollack
The Goal Line Stand*
Hell, even Mt. Cody's Rocky Block were better
*If you count the Kick Six as a "defensive play, add that to the list.

The offsides was on Alabama so the play stopped a touchdown. Pretty sure Miami didn't score that drive. I was at the game.

Tyrann also did most of that when the games were close, it wasn't like it was in huge blow out wibs towards the end. He balled out hard when LSU needed a big play.

It really was a fantastic play. The Ed Reed one was special. However, Honey Badger might have some of the greatest.

What about that one that happened a few years ago in the Oklahoma/Oklahoma state game where the ball was flying out of bounds and the guy went up and tipped it back in to his teammate.
Or Clowney Smash

That's a great nominee.
