How long will his leash be? How many blowouts will the boosters put up with?

His recruits are freshmen. He has at least 1-2 years to prove himself. It's not basketball where one recruit can change the entire season.

I think he gets at least 1 more year after this one.

If you read ShaggyBevo/Texas, half of them want him gone yesterday. ??

If they fire him before the end of next year they deserve to go down the toilet.

I keep hoping the timing will work out whereby Spurrier retires the same year Strong is let go. He was our DC here under Holtz before he moved onto UF.

Would love to have him.

No, he gets an automatic 3 years, but they will need to start showing improvement over the next year and 10 games.

If he doesn't get to a bowl game this year, they'll fire him. The pockets supporting UT are extremely deep, they won't tolerate this embarrassment another year, especially with A&M stealing recruits and gaining more recognition in the State.

I want to say no but can he survive a 2-3 win season???
I don't know if anyone can at a program at that level. Someone has to be held accountable for such poor results. You can't re-fire Mack Brown.

He has at least this year and next. Mac Brown run the program into the ground his last couple years there. Inmates were running the asylum. Recruiting went to shite and defense couldn't stop anybody. Strong had to try to completely change the culture. That's why so many players were ran off. And yes he is black and I'm sure UT wouldn't want to deal with that media shitstorm if he was let go after only a couple years.

I'm glad we didn't fire Nick Saban after the UAB game.

I'm sure Alabama is glad they didn't fire him after the ULM game too.

I said this in another thread and someone posted that the roster was full of 4 and 5 star players. If so, they were coached down by Mack and his assistants. I still remember teams running all over them, they couldn't tackle someone standing still.
