I had money on the Panthers so I was pulling for them in the SB. That said, Cam's SB performance was not only awful, but also disgraceful. His unwillingness to bother to make an attempt at recovering his own fumble was disgraceful.

He looked like a bum in the first half. In the second half, he was a punk.

You compared him to Colin fricking Kaepernick... The bashing you received was deserved. However, you took it in stride and were a good sport about it.

What Denver's defense just did to Cam Newton is what they did to everyone this year, including Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, etc... Even the best player on the planet can't escape a defense that good.

As I've said, he had a great season.

His effort tonight, though, was so bad. This is the Super Bowl, he has to put up a better effort than he did. Biggest thing holding him back is still his attitude. He might have more natural athletic talent than any QB ever, but goddamn does he not handle it well when things get tough.

You think he played like that because of his attitude and not because of the Denver defense?

I guess Brady's attitude held him back in the AFC title game too then.

MVP should be awarded after the entire season, not during the playoffs and certainly not before the super bowl.

A full season's worth of work instead of a regular season to conference championships is a much more accurate picture of a candidate's worthiness.

haha he would have had 400 yards of offense if Cotchery and Ginn could catch passes.

There's a gif being thrown out that shows his lack of effort but I am not on a computer

I can think of probably 5 passes where Brady had no pressure, gave up on the play and threw the ball into the ground...i guess that's max effort?

He overthrew his receviers multiple times. Face it he had a great season but a bad SB.
He had a 44 completion %, 0 TDs, and 3 TOs.

He had probably 3 bad passes and he was under pressure the entire game. Again if Cotchery and Ginn catch the ball he has over 400 yards of offense and the Panthers win the Super Bowl.

Was Cam great, no was he the best offensive player on the field? Easily.

Oh, you're playing the pointless "what if" game I see.

That's not saying much considering the winning team had 194 yards.
He still had a real bad game. You forgetting he jumped away from his own fumble?
