The Independence Bowl Foundation has named Camping World as the title sponsor of the Independence Bowl.
The 2015 bowl game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 26 at 4:45 p.m. CST and will be known as the Camping World Independence Bowl.

Hopefully Marcus Lemonis can turn that bowl and city around

Elio motors is going to be based in Shreveport and make this bad boy
It's ugly as sin but only costs $7,000 and gets 85mpg.
Too bad the lease for the old hummer plant was written so that Shreveport couldn't kick the almost certain to fail company out when Land Rover was interested in the plant. Thanks Obama

So close to a good sponsor name

At least they got rid of those duck dynasty clowns.

I thought Duck Dynasty was locked in for 2-3 years?

Good for the Independence Bowl

It was the Duck Commander Independence Bowl presented by CenturyLink. Probably not a good sign when you need a secondary sponsor in addition to the title sponsor.

Hopefully this time the city wakes up and passes the 1.25% hotel tax which will help upgrade facilities. Last time is was up for a vote, people saw "tax" and blindly voted against it even though it was only an additional tax on hotel guests. Not citizens of the city.

Where this bowl sits on the totem pole, it also needs some level of support from locals. The teams the bowl brings in won't bring sell out crowds. Fans of 6-6 teams don't really follow in droves to Shreveport. Doesn't help that the area surrounding the stadium is a dump. Plus theres the fact that Shreveport/Bossier gives exactly zero shits about supporting local sports.

Wasn't it Duck Commander last year?

At least they didn't turn down any sponsorship deals
