I've seen a couple colleges have to use a timeout to avoid that penalty. I'm pretty sure it was on special teams each time.
They should just start pushing numbers into the 100s to avoid double numbers. Make the O-linemen have the triple digit numbers so its easier to catch illegal linemen down field.

1 more quarter for Beamer....hard to believe that he will not be on the sidelines in Blacksburg next year.

Have always liked Beamer.
I pretty much always root for VT in the ACC specifically b/c of him.
Glad he is getting to step down instead of being put through a messy force out.

The explanation on the double number thing -- Holder is #8 normally. Snapper was hurt, and the backup wears #8. On the rekick, they had to use a different holder who dropped the snap.

Is Bud Foster taking a job elsewhere after this game? (sarcasm)
I know Tulsa can score in bunches (they gave OU a real scare earlier this year) but its not like they are an automatic 40+ a game either.

Our LBs suck, and Beamer sent home the best one for breaking team rules a couple days ago.
So, attack the middle, and you will get yards.
