Lebron could score 40 every night, but then he wouldn't be nearly as efficient of a player as he is now. Do you ever wonder why Carmelo Anthony can't get his team over the hump? Scoring a lot doesn't always equal team success.

Stan Van Gundy gave a great stat about that on the radio last week.

Melo averages 1 assist per 9 shot attempts in the regular season. For comparison, Kobe is 1 per 5 and Jordan was about 1 for 5 back in the day. This year during the playoffs, Melo was 1 assist per 18 attempts. Van Gundy said he could not find any player with a minimum number of attempts that was anywhere close to that. Someone, from back in the 60's or 70's was 1 per 9 in the playoffs and that was the closest he could find.

Checking IN fo dis.

Been away from TD for awhile, been busy graduating from Tulane and moving out to Phoenix for my Teach for America job. Long days out here while I've been training, so I'll hopefully get to at least catch the second half tonight.

Either way, I'll be pulling hard for the King. Game 5 has traditionally been the WOW game for LBJ in his playoff career, so I expect one of those transcendent performances tonight.

Let's. Get. It.

Nothing wrong with that.

I'm nervous about tonight's game because I don't know how the role players are going to play. The Heat need consistent shooting from Ray and Shane to take this thing the distance.

That said, I feel A LOT better that this thing is at American Airlines
