Vegas lines have the Heat a 7.5 to 8 point favorite. I think that sounds about right

I agree, but you were referring to his shooting. He shot over 40% from 3 this season

Haslem is also a pretty decent shooter, he just has to be relatively open.

The difference in that game was Birdman

You gotta think that Pat Riley is going to pick up someone in the off-season with some size who can battle with Hibbert on the boards. In another year, with Wade getting older, the Pacers might be the better team.

just like last year....they played pretty damn good..but not good enough. Dont forget..the heat also had to go 7 games in the Conf semis with an old Celts team last year...The Heat aren't invincible..but they win when they are suppose to...

This series doesn't go past game 6...

The media is hyping things up because nothing else is going on with the NBA playoffs right now and they are trying to get something out of this series to make it sound so rough and tough...It gives people something to talk about, but at the end of the day Heat in 6...it's a grind fellas....

Riley will definitely sit down with Wade this offseason and give him the option to take a pay cut because his production isn't where it should be and he's only getting older. Now if wade chooses this then he will ride it out and retire as a Heat member. If not I could definitely see the Heat parting ways with Wade to create some room for a big...dare I say a Dwight Howard possibly????

or because the best player in the world is playing on the defending champs and the series is tied 2-2

that is why it is being hyped. The pacers have absolutely crushed the Heat inside

but tonight it will be a no contest style game.

That is what I think. If the Heat are motivated (which they should be tonight), they blow Indy out and name their score.

There is no chance that Dwight Howard plays on the Heat next year.

No doubt about it..theres no secret there. The Heat have ZERO inside presence. ZERO!!! They won a championship last year without one, and continue to play that way. I hate that style of basketball...but it works, especially when you have the best player in the world.

I am the kind of guy that loves the inside game and think thats how the offense should go around. If Hibbert would be half the man Shaq was, he would get around 50 touches a game, and they don't all have to be buckets, but by playing this way it would allow for more opportunites to occur. Say a double down kick out for 3...or a miss jump hook and a D-West put back...theres so much that is lacking in the NBA these days and the fact that the bigs these days want to shoot jumpers are upsetting. They need to get inside the paint and do work. No reason why Dwight Howard can't sniff the numbers Shaq would put up...He should atleast be in the ballpark

Just trying to shake things up in here....

They do need to aquire a big....The only way D-Howard and LeBron would ever play together is if LeBron went to the Lakers in 2014 like many are rumoring...

If the Heat are motivated? As if they werent motivated to win game 4? Or game 2?

This is the dumbest shite in this thread... Its the fricking playoffs, everybody is motivated

The Heat arent going to win game 5 because the are "mad" game 4 didnt go their way... Being "mad and motivated" doesnt make Battier or Allen shoot better...

Quit discounting the Pacers, and quit using stupid fricking clices to explain why the Heat will blow Indiana out tonight.

People have been saying this every year they have been together. While true, it is easier said than done with the Heat being so far over the salary cap.

I know they used their mid-level exception to sign Ray Allen, which was considerably less than the normal mid-level because they were so far over the cap. I guess they could do that again to sign a big man but I'm not sure. They can only sign players for the Veteran minimum if not.

Agreed. The "motivated" argument is valid in the regular season, but it damn sure isn't valid in the conference finals.

With the things that Roy Hibbert is doing to them this series, I think that it will motivate the front office to make a move. They haven't had a real good defender/rebounder down low for a few years, but they also haven't had to worry about a beast like Hibbert with a great supporting cast around him.

You do realize Chris Bosh is 6'11" right?

He used to be a 11 rebound per game monster in TOR. His game in Miami is completely different. He's Ryan Anderson, except he shoots 18 footers instead of 3's.

yeah they need to be "motivated" for every playoff game, but it's almost like after being poked too many times they all feed off of LeBron's want to win.

I say this all the time...Theres no reason why LeBron couldnt score 40+ every night. He could bull his way through if he wanted..I mean the man is a manchild and no one matches up with him, but the thing is thats not his mentality. His mentality is to pass first then get in the flow and feed off of the game. This is one part of LeBron I "love/Hate". If he just had a little more kobe/jordan/Melo in him to "shoot" first..then I think he would have more game winners, more points per game, and would be the guy everyone wants him to be, but then again he is one of the greatest distributors of all time. And thats what he plays to be, so we'll just have to see.
