They were recently Division 2 and played in the Lone Star Conference.
They weren't particularly good until 2009.

This is their first year in the Southland Conference and their football team was pretty awful this year - clearly not ready to have jumped to the FCS. Teams put 40+ on them regularly...except for Nichols of course.

you forgot about michigan's loss to eastern michigan
not as wild, but still funny especially since it came right after NJIT and both were at home.
