People want to see a disaster, especially the media. Everybody will be disappointed.

I feel like people are anticipating (hoping?) for some sort of catastrophic event that completely overshadows the actual games and I just don't think that will happen.

Considering the Australians already bailed out of the athletes village due to shitty construction id say some of the criticism is valid.

I'd say there's a slightly better chance than usual that there could be some issues, but I'd still bet that it ends up being fine when it's all said and done.
