There is an army of police there. It's extremely safe near Wrigley now.

I was there when the Blackhawks won and it was insane. It's gotta be 1,000x crazier.

People, as I've posted before, I LIVE in Wrigleyville, between Southport and Clark. I'm posting from my condo. You can see and hear a lot of the scene from our top floor. Just thought I'd give you some local color. Jesus.

I am in Lincoln Park right now. It is just insane here, too. Never seen a city as electric as this place is right now.

I was there for the most recent Blackhawks celebration as well, this is another level of insane. I live 4 blocks from Wrigley and outside of my house looks like the foot traffic before a major Mardi Gras parade, but much louder. We walked down as soon as the game ended and got as close as Taco Bell on Addison before it became shoulder to shoulder. That was 45ish min ago so I can only image what it's like now.

ETA: praying my car is in one piece and undamaged tomorrow morning.

Apt analogy. When I raced to my patio immediately after the last out, I witnessed a scene out of a science fiction movie. It looked like the entire neighborhood was being evacuated in advance of the zombie plague. EVERYONE was pouring out of their doors, some running. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there were men carrying babies.
