I like the Grizzlies because they are an hour away from me, and I occasionally head to some games(hard with school), but I like to see Lebron do well because he gets the most irrational hate I have ever seen a player get. From my real life experience, it is usually people who don't watch much basketball that irrationally hate Lebron James and actually still think he is not the best player in the game.

The term "bandwagon" is so played out it makes my head hurt.
I don't care one bit about who is a fan and why.

Don't get me wrong, I see why people would think negatively about the bandwagon type fans, but i'll never understand why they seem to be so obsessed with it.

There's one poster who I'll let remain nameless, who it seems like over half his MSB posts are dedicated to hating on bandwagoners. It's odd.

Or people like FatBastard who are so obsessed with the "bandwagon" angle of sports, that they don't understand why 1 person with a rare talent can lead fans of the game to like that team. When a team is good and is televised several times a week, it's easy to see the characteristics that you are drawn to and lead you to a new found respect for the team and players.

How is you hopping on a wagon in 83' (when the Celtics dominated the league) any different from Heat fans hopping on a wagon now?

Just because you've been riding that wagon for 30 years doesnt make you any different...

im not a fan of any nba team.. although i am a fan of several players. lebron being my favorite.. with that said, i pull for durant, cp3, and others who are all outstanding players. I really quit watching basketball for a while when mj retired.. it just wasnt the same... AT ALL. Over the past few years alot of really good talent has came into the nba such as curry, kyrie erving, and d.rose who have really made the product better as a whole. I HATE kobe bryant but respect the fact that he is one of the best players in the game and i do enjoy watching him play also. People are quick to hate on the heat and lebron when the same thing happend with mj and the bulls back in the day. Everyone should just sit back and enjoy the fact that they are able to watch talent such as Lebron, those types of players come along not too often. I was lucky enough to watch mj growing up and i know some on here wasnt, so they cant come to grasp with just enjoying such talents on display every night, because it is gone before you know it and the game will be looking for the next mj, or kobe, or lebron.

Lebatard tells a great story about mocking his dad for being a bandwagon fan.

And Gonzo, in complete seriousness, says, "while everyone was hating on the Heat, I've stuck with them since the beginning, the day they signed Lebron"
