i'm not a Bama fan and they wouldn't even be the next team in line...
there is precedent for it in the NCAA basketball tournament... teams have been dropped in seeding due to key injuries.
but this is why we need a playoff. if there was the 4 team playoff this year, florida state without winston might deserve to be in if they beat Duke. but this year you have to be top 2...
the fact that he might be charged with rape is reason enough to leave them out, but to be the Heisman-elect, making the offense go, in football terms, if he was merely injured, out for the BCSNCG, and not charged with anything, that would be reason enough to drop them.

I mean do you not see how ridiculously flawed this logic is? What if FSU with Jameis plays OSU for the title and OSU wins? You just said FSU is the best team in the country. Should we just give them the crystal football anyway?
From now on we just shouldn't play any games at all and award crystal footballs based on consensus recruiting rankings.

Yes it's flawed but everyone plays by the same rules. If we were to believe conventional wisdom last week, the gumps should have won by 3 scores.
Beat the teams you are supposed to be and you'll have no worries, especially in the SEC.

IMO, you're not voting to put someone in the game, you're looking at that team's body of work and deciding rank based on what they've done. Not what you think they will be able to do.
