Saw this on The Herd where Colin Cowherd was interviewing Stephen Jackson and asked him if he thought Paul George would leave the Pacers and join the Cavs and Jackson said that he thinks George WOULD leave and go to the Cavs. With a starting lineup of Kyrie, Lebron, George, Love, and Thompson...how much does this close the talent gap between GS and the Cavs? Discuss...

Stephen Jackson interview it's at the 3:00 minute mark

0% chance PG goes to Cleveland. Way more $$ elsewhere for him.

How can they afford him without dealing one or two people in that starting five you listed?

Charmin Soft......and I even like him. Guys like PG need teams like Cavs/GS to win a ring. He otherwise wouldn't get one.

Don't know...they didn't discuss being able to afford him or contract details, but I'm sure if he would agree then they would figure out a way to get the deal done. These GMs are masters at manipulating contracts to get the guys they want.

Lebron vs. Kd
Kyrie vs. Steph
PG vs. Klay
Love vs. Draymond
Tristian vs. Zaza?

Gimme the Cavs in this scenario

Don't see how this can happen but there will be some major moves in the league to counteract what the Warriors have done.

How many more Eastern conference superstars does LBJ need to compete with GS?

All of this talk about talent gap is BS to protect Lebron's image. A Cavs team with Paul George would be considerably more talented than GS.

I guess it depends on the salary cap. But you'd think PG would be willing to take less to play on that team.

George would have to sign the MLE for this to happen I'm pretty sure. That would be an insane pay cut

See how that works both ways. Remember, after losing to the Cavs last year, GS had to go and get a:

League MVP
8x All-Star
5x All NBA First Team
4x NBA Scoring Champ
2x Olympic Gold Medalist

...in order to beat Lebron.

I think if you have insane Nike money like KD, the salary paycut is not a big deal. Not sure what PG's endorsement situation is. I know Gatorade is featuring him in some ads lately.

Stephen Jackson thinks so, they talk about it in the video.

Maybe some less, but would it need to be tens of millions less? Don't think any body goes for that if it is the case.
