As he asked for

Penn State
Notre Dame
West Virginia
Florida State
Virginia Tech
Miami
Syracuse
Pitt
Rutgers
Boston College
Maryland (only member to belong to a conference at the time)
South Carolina

That would have been a great league. If ND doesn't join, replace them with Louisville

Oh what could have been. Thanks Syracuse and Mike Tranghese

Shame you aren't smart enough to realize he reported it and he didn't witness or participate in it.

Did he make sure the pedophile was off his campus and away from kids? Did he report it to the police?

He did what was mandated by law. He can't control who has keys as that's a university decision.

Blame the AD and President with the cover up. Did he do enough, no. But did he do what he was supposed to do, yes. And he did report it to police as the head of campus police was notified.

McQueary is the one who needs to be treated like an aider and abettor. He saw it waited and then half assed reported it.

I highly dount Texas, aTm, or OU would go for half their games being played at 10 or 1030pm.

Both of these were ready to go to the pac 16. A&M put a stop to it.

Paterno threads always end well... That conference would have been a good one, though.

This thread got derailed on the first reply

I would have loved that conference. Syracuse blackballed Penn State in the late 80s and formed the Big East without them.

Penn State is a big enough anchor to keep a league together.

I am sorry I derailed it some

But the conference would have worked but I'm not sure they could've held it together if it was football only.

Yep. The Big East was basically the Eastern Seaboard Conference. Things wouldn't have turned out that different--the ACC still would have raided the ESC, which would have basically become CUSA.

A better what if is what if Loserville hadn't blocked the Metro from becoming an all-sports conference. Then you could have had Florida State, Georgia Tech, USC, Cincy, Memphis, UL, Tulane. (With the revenue, Tulane stays good in MBB after the Honeycutt era and stays good in football after 1998.)

In the mid to late 80's. Before the Big East was formed.

Preoccupation with nostalgia can be a sign of depression. Just saying.
