Remember when MJ was hiding in the corner when his team was under duress during a swing game in the finals? Neither do I.

What does the Eastern Conference being weak have to do with losing to a Western Conference team in the finals?

Last year's Heat were abysmal in the playoffs outside of Lebron, so yes.

How do you not understand that?

He doesn't have to do anything

He waltzes to the finals every year because the EC is trash.

All he has to do is win four games a year. So far, he's 2/5, which is a good start. But 2/6 is not something to be proud of when considering the factors above

He's not playing the Eastern Conference in the finals

the EC is weak so he's making finals appearances.. The West is very strong in most people's eyes..

What's the point of arguing when you have no idea what you're arguing about?

2/6 is underachieving

Sure it is if you ignore context.

Fact of the matter is the Cavs in '07 were far from being able to compete with the Spurs as a team. Last year's Spurs were incredibly hot and the Heat's defense fell apart. LeBron was great (28/8/4 on absurd efficiency).

The only one that can legitimately be held against him is the '11 Finals where he inexplicably played like shite.

NBA superstars have more impact on the game than most other sports but it's still a team game. If he plays well against the Warriors, who've proven over the course of the season that they're by far the team to beat, but they still lose I don't see how LeBron underachieved.

I mean statistically he didn't play like shite. The problem was Wade's game totally clashed with his and Lebron was much better than Wade playing off ball. Look how Lebron changed his game over his year's in Miami to make up for Wade's flaws.

While the Heat went to 4 straight finals and won two championships. I do not think Wade complemented that team. Wade ultimately led to the dismantling of the team also.

I guess it's better to lose in other rounds then the finals. Dumbest arguement. So if he was 2-2 instead of 2-5 that's better I guess. Hell no.
where is Miami this year. Exactly. where was cleveland. Exactly.
MJ did lose in 1st round 3 straight seasons without pippen. I guess if lost in finals. That would have hurt his resume. 6-9. Doesn't make sense.

A loss means he has 6 finals appearances with just two rings to show for during a time when the Eastern Conference is/was incredibly weak

Everyone knows Phil is a great golfer (5 majors) but he's left so much on the table with 10 runner-up finishes

The point is, you can't be a GOAT by consistently finishing in second

Phil Mickelson plays an individual sport, Mcfly.

pretty damn hypocritical

People are arguing how LeBron soley has carried Heat/Cavs to the finals/won rings

So, indivudually, he's responsible for the wins.....yet individually he isn't responsible for the losses?

Right.....makes complete sense.

If you treat him as an individual in a team sport it's no different than comparing to golf/tennis/any other indivual sport
